We all wish money were not
so important in American politics, but reality is that money
matters. Your contributions to our club among other things
help fund our local Democratic candidates, supplies
(leaflets, yard signs, bumper stickers, etc.) and perhaps
most importantly, our visible campaign office in downtown
DeLand July through Election Day this year. We really need

This year voters in Volusia
County may well be the decisive factor in determining who
becomes most powerful elected person in the world:

Street Journal has chosen Volusia County as one of
only three counties in America where they will visit
periodically this year to gauge how the election
campaign is unfolding. |
There is no doubt that the
whole world is watching Volusia County. Volusia County is
essential to win Central Florida which is the
battleground of our state and Florida's 29 Electoral Votes
which are essential to any presidential candidate’s plan to
acquire the 270 Electoral College votes needed to become
President.
This year Florida is even more important, because Florida’s
Electoral votes have been increased from 27 to 29 due to a
significant population increase from the 2000 to the 2010
U.S. Census.
For these reasons, it's likely that the efforts we make here
in Volusia County
in this election year matters more than anywhere else in the
America. The efforts of even one person can make a big
difference.
